New website, new me

Change is a constant in the world of creativity, and as a photographer/lens artist, it's essential to evolve, adapt, and grow. After a period of self-discovery since my graduation with my Master's Degree from SCAD, artistic exploration, and the pursuit of new goals, I'm excited to show you the redesign of my website. My revamped website now serves as a true reflection of my updated work, vision, goals, and a comprehensive display of my diverse portfolios.
Embracing Change That I Yearned For
Every photographer experiences periods of evolution in their craft. Over the three years, I've began a journey of artistic growth, experimenting with new techniques, styles, and subject matter. My desire was to capture fresh perspectives, emotions, and stories through my lens. As a result, my portfolio has expanded to encompass a wider range of artistic expressions, and my website needed to reflect this transformation. Sadly though, I lost all of my blogs from my previous platforms --- 12 years worth!
The Vision
When I embarked on this redesign journey, my vision was clear – to create a website that not only showcased my latest work but also conveyed my renewed artistic direction and aspirations. I wanted to provide visitors with an immersive experience that would not only display my portfolio but also tell a compelling story about my evolution as a photographer and artist. I also chose to leave my previous portfolio as it is a huge part of who I am today.
Goals and Objectives
A pivotal part of this redesign process was setting clear goals and objectives. I identified the primary purposes of my website:
  • Reflect My Evolution: To highlight my growth as a photographer and artist, I needed to organize my work in a way that clearly displayed my journey, from earlier pieces to my most recent creations.
  • Convey My Vision: My website needed to communicate my artistic vision and the messages behind my work. This would allow visitors to connect with the emotional and narrative aspects of my photography.
  • Display My Portfolios: I divided my diverse work into distinct portfolios, each with its own theme and style. This categorization would make it easier for visitors to explore and appreciate my art more deeply.
  • Have my work available for purchase. I have many people in the past who have purchased my nature and landscape photography. I am going to once again offer this as well as work to have my photographs curated for galleries.
Portfolio Curation: The heart of my website, my portfolios, received special attention. I carefully selected and organized my best work into distinct categories, each with a unique narrative. This made it easier for visitors to explore my portfolio and connect with the themes I wanted to convey.
The redesign of my website on a new platform marks a pivotal moment in my work. It's not just a digital gallery but a living representation of my artistic evolution, vision, and aspirations. I invite you to explore the new website, immerse yourself in my portfolios, and connect with the stories I aim to tell through my photography. Your support and feedback mean the world to me as I continue to grow and evolve as an artist, and I look forward to sharing more of my work with you in the future.
Create and love as much as you can! See the beauty in everything.
