It's been a year for the books y'all. One heck of a year...and it's not over.
Although I count myself blessed, this past year has been very trying for me and my family. Not only have I been building my business up from another move (Alaska to Washington State), my husband deployed again last October and was gone for nine months. He just returned in July. During that time, I opened up a studio in Tacoma, took care of my two littles who were affected by his absence, and kept my self going, even in the darkest of times - not to mention keeping myself afloat to complete client work. It has been utterly exhausting. The military lifestyle isn't for the faint of heart - it truly isn't. This was our ninth deployment. You would think it would get easier, but nope, this one was the hardest. But all is ok now...he is home safe, kids are happy, business is beginning to thrive after two years of busting my butt in a new area and nine years of this industry and then...
BOOM - another curve ball. My husband has accepted a position down at Fort Stewart, Georgia. We are moving again - for what is supposed to be the last time before retirement. What does this mean for Amber Fite Photography? Well, I drive on. I pack up my studio and my business and start all over again. New clients, new area, grinding it out to become successful in my trade once more.
"I can do this, I can do this, I can do this"... I tell myself this every.single.day! Even when I want to throw in the towel due to pure exhaustion. Many of my photographer friends knows how hard it is to make it in this industry - let alone restarting over and over again. But I can do this right? I've done it three times now; I surely have enough left in me for the final time...
I absolutely LOVE what I do. I love the people who choose me to be a part of their journey whether it be their final year in high school, or journey into motherhood, all of them. All of it; I love so very much. I will NOT give up in my success.
With that being said - Richmond Hill, Georgia! I am SO incredibly excited to get there and hit the ground running offering services to you! The plan is to have a start date of November 15th.
